SEEDS is undertaking strategic work that promotes social cohesion between, and better outcomes for, marginalised communities. SEEDS worked with over 86 groups in the last year representing every sector.

We Bring People together!! Whether that is in Africa, the Middle East, Europe or here in Ireland we work to improve the quality of life for people all over the globe.

 

SEEDS generates Capacity Building

  • SEEDS is increasing the Skills and Effectiveness of Minority Ethnic Community based Organisations.
  • SEEDS offered training to over 1,800 people last year.
  • SEEDS helped over 32 Minority Ethnic Groups develop last year.
  • SEEDS supported local, regional and international governments with policy and practice.
  • ScalesSEEDS is involved in global exchange programmes throughout the world.

SEEDS promotes Policy and Research

SEEDS has provided strong and informed input to shape the development of public policy affecting the minority ethnic third sector and its communities. SEEDS advise the Government and respective Departments on their policy and practice focused on the BME community.

SEEDS celebrates Diversity

Last year over 56,000 people were involved in the Social and Cultural Programmes planned and developed by SEEDS and our partners in the One World Centre.

  • To increase the understanding of the value of diversity in the community.
  • To eliminate the barriers to community participation experienced by diverse populations.
  • Through education and training, to empower people of other cultures and languages to achieve a place in Northern Irish society.
  • To design interventions and interactions on behalf of and with the ethnic and migrant working community meeting their needs as they define.
  • To create social enterprises which generate self-sufficiency and promote the social economy.
